| Marnie Stone - President |
Marnie Stone, Fully qualified Early Intervention Specialist and Director of Early Childhood Intervention at Special Care & Career Services, resides in Carrollton, Texas with her husband, Randy, and two daughters Amy, age 13, and Corrie, age 7. Marnie has worked in the field of ECI for 16 years, 7 years as the ECI Director at Special Care & Career Services. Marnie is the out-going President of the Early Childhood Consortium of North Texas and recently was Membership Chair for the Texas Association for Infant Mental Health. She is a member of the North Texas Association for Early Intervention Specialists and North Texas Association for Infant Mental Health. | ||
| Patty Miller - Past President |
Patty has worked for 15 years to bring attention to the unique needs of infants and their families. She provides training by example and by teaching to show caregivers "what their baby is trying to tell them." After six years in the Newborn Nursery and NNICU at Parkland Hospital, Patty now provides contract work with Children's Medical Center in Child Life and Nursing Education. She is a Past President of TAIMH and has served the organization as Secretary and on many committees. Patty loves to demonstrate infant massage and teach about pediatric nurturing care. | ||

| Barbara Einsohn - Secretary |
Barbara Einsohn, M.S., is an early childhood consultant, Early Intervention Specialist, Certified Infant Massage Instructor, and is Endorsed by TAIMH as an Infant Mental Health Mentor. Barbara is a past President of TAIMH, has served as Membership Chair, Endorsement Co-Chair, and is currently Secretary of the organization. She also serves on the Professional Education Committee, Endorsement Committee and the ad hoc Infant Advocacy Conference Committee. Participation in TAIMH is Barbara's way of making a difference in the lives of infants, young children and families in Texas. She also works part-time for Special Care and Career ECI providing Reflective Supervision and focusing on relationship-based practice. She is married and has two children. | ||
| Betty Ablon | Betty Ann Ablon has a B.A. degree from S.M.U. and a Master's Degree from Columbia University. She has been a social worker in Dallas for over 35 years. Her special interest has been in working with people in the field of Child Care and Early Intervention to help them further understand about how children develop emotionally. "Those folks who work with very young children", she says, "are the most important people you and I will ever meet. They are responsible, in part, for how children develop. You don't get a more important job than that". She has been affiliated with the Child Care Group of Dallas for over 10 years, as Vice President of Core Knowledge and Technology and as a trainer for the agency. She is also a Learning Coach for Special Quest and is a consultant for National Head Start. She is An Infant Mental Health Mentor and is providing Reflective Supervision in the Dallas area. Most recently, Ms. Ablon presented at Bank Street's "Infant Institute" and has been published in the World Association for Infant Mental Health's Handbook. | ||
| Sally Carmen | Sally is currently the Project Director of 2 HRSA funding grants to improve Registered Nurse retention and development. Involved in promoting infant mental health education to nurses for 25 years in hospital, ambulatory, and community settings. | ||
| Jeannette Goodman | Jeannette is married with 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren. Jeannette and her husband have been foster parents to 162 infants over the past 25 years. She served as Executive Director for the Low Birth Weight Development Center for 16 years. Jeannette taught school for 17 years, using her Master Thesis as the basis for the Pre-school program. She also taught Alphabetic Phonics. She has been active in TAIMH for several years having served on the board for two terms and chair of the membership committee for several years. She is also a member of the NAEYC, SAEYC, TAEYC and Zero to Three. | ||
| Mary Greene | Mary Greene came to KERA with extensive experiences in an array of state, federal, and local initiatives that focused on children's health and education concerns. Prior to Sesame Street going on the air in l968, Mary Greene worked in the development of the outreach beyond the broadcast. There was only Fred Rogers on educational television and it was necessary to build an audience and awareness of a new television program for children. In 1979, Greene joined the White House Conference on Children and Youth. Most recently Greene has worked with KERA in the development of a documentary, Ready for Life, that then became a training program for parents and care givers with modules that includes a train the trainer model. To date there have been modules developed: Temperament, Socialization/Attachment, Early Literacy, and Nutrition/Fitness. This project is for parent and caregivers of children 0-5. | ||
| Janet Hallman - Endorsement Committee Co-Chair |
Janet Hallman, Ph. D. is a clinical psychologist in private practice in the Fort Worth area. She provides psychotherapy for clients of all ages, and especially enjoys infant mental health work. She is a consultant for ECI programs, providing reflective supervision and case consultations. She teaches undergraduate psychology courses at UT Arlington and a graduate course at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Hallman enjoys providing seminars in the community on topics such as infant brain development and attachment. She is on the Board of Directors for TAIMH and is one of the co-chairs of the Endorsement Committee. | ||
| Edie Hernandez Putt | Edie Hernandez Putt is a licensed professional counselor and delivers bilingual (Spanish and English) mental health services to the North Texas Community. Edie was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She as a bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Counseling, and she is currently at her pre-doctorate internship site. Edie specializes in individual, marriage, couple, and family counseling. Her counseling procedures consist of cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and brief counseling. She possess practical knowledge about issues of domestic violence (victim, children, and perpetrators), sexism, ageism, substance abuse (adult and adolescents), and crisis intervention to name a few. Edie values spending time with her husband and toddler, the Texas State Fair, and the myriad of cultural events Big "D" has to offer. | ||
| Barbara Hokamp | Barbara Hokamp will graduate with a PhD in psychology this coming December. She is currently working in a private psychotherapy practice in Denton. Barbara works with adults, adolescents, families, couples, and children, but her main areas of interest are infant mental health and women's and girl's issues. She is certified in infant massage, and recently received additional training in Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (filial play therapy) at UNT. Barbara has worked as a PPCD teacher, in psychiatric hospital settings, with the CDIP project at Babytracks, as an infant massage instructor, and most recently at the Texas Woman's University Counseling Center and in private practice. A Board member in the past, she is looking forward to becoming more involved with TAIMH again now that she has finished her psychology course work and internship. | ||
| Susan Meriwether | Susan Meriwether is an Infant/Toddler Specialist, Team Leader and a Lead Teacher in a faith based childcare program. She is also a nationally known speaker on several early childhood topics. Susan truly believes moments matter when working with children. Her work as a Lead Teacher in the infant classroom has been recognized by Zero to Three, Texas AEYC and the Houston Area AEYC. Susan recently became endorsed as a Level II, Infant Family Specialist. She is also currently pursing her Masters with a Specialization in Infants and Toddlers from Pacific Oaks College. | ||
| Lisa Oglesby-Rocha | Lisa Oglesby Rocha has demonstrated a lifetime's passion for building strong children, families and communities. In 1996, as Executive Director of AVANCE-Dallas, she along with her team and the support of the community, created an effective environment in which often-overlooked Dallas Hispanic families are motivated and trained in the skills necessary to strongly support higher education as an essential part of their children's future. Under her leadership, AVANCE has grown into a vibrant, effective organization serving over 1,000 Hispanic parents and their young children a year, in 16 Dallas neighborhoods located in West Dallas, Oak Cliff, East Dallas, Love Field, Pleasant Grove and the Bachmann Lake area. | ||
| Crisann Skinner - Endorsement Committee Co-Chair |
Crisann has served the birth to five population as a Speech Pathologist for over twenty years. She has strived to assist infants and their families not only with strategies for communication development but also ways to foster every aspect of their development. Crisann's current position is Clinical Speech Supervisor in the Plano office of the Infant and Toddler Intervention Program of North Texas. She has been a speech pathologist with this agency for 10 years providing support and assistance with families of children with a wide array of developmental needs. She has served as a team leader and mentor for new staff. | ||
| Robert Wood | Robert E. (Bob) Wood is a shareholder and Director of Professional Development at the law firm of Winstead Sechrest & Minick P.C. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law school, admitted to practice law in Texas since 1969. Bob is a founding member of The Texas Association of Bank Counsel and served as President of that organization in 1989. From 1976 through 1989, Bob was a full-time professor of law at Texas Tech University School of Law. Bob has been recognized by: D Magazine, Best Lawyers in Dallas-Fort Worth - Banking Law; Texas Monthly's Super Lawyer, Banking and Financial Law 2003-2006; and The Best Lawyers in America 1996-2006. He is also a founding member of Dallas Social Venture Partners, a venture philanthropy organization, and serves as a director of Social Venture Partners International, an umbrella organization of twenty-two venture philanthropy organizations worldwide. | ||
| Vicki Russell - West Texas Chapter President |
Vicki is an LMSW and have worked more than 30 years in residential child care for abused children. She has specialized in group care, foster care, adoption and post adoption services. She has worked at the Children's Home of Lubbock for 17 years and is the Vice President of Children's Services. | ||
